Chinese electronic goods bring changes in Nepali society


KATHMANDU, Dec 13 (Xinhua) -- Nepal's entire socio-economic sector has witnessed radical change due to affordable goods imported from China in recent years.
In Nepal, one can not deny the fact that attractive prices and good quality Chinese electronic goods such as television, radio and computer have brought a revolutionary transformation in the area of information and communication among the masses living under poverty line in the country.
Owning affordable television sets imported from China, the number of television stations are also mushrooming in the country, thus bringing political awareness among the people living in remotest parts of the country.
Talking to Xinhua on Wednesday, Somesh Verma, program producer at Kantipur TV network says, "Affordable television sets has brought in communication at the hands of common people who could not have afforded it earlier due to the high price."
